GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER

The Shire of Broomehill-Tambellup has an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent Governance and Compliance Officer to join our team.  Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the position is responsible for ensuring the Shire is compliant with all relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks governing its Council and regulatory functions comprising building, environmental health, and town planning.   

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in a governance and/or regulatory environment; the ability to interpret, apply and ensure compliance with legislation; possess high level written communication and interpersonal skills; strong administrative and organisational skills; and the ability to work in both a team environment and unsupervised.

The salary for this position is $72,515 per annum. A 4% increase will be implemented from 6 December 2024 increasing the salary to $75,415 per annum.  In addition to working for a supportive Shire with a great culture, the successful applicant will also enjoy the following benefits:
