New Councillors Sworn in

A Special Meeting of Council was held on 26 October 2023 to swear in returning and new Councillors, and to elect the Shire President and Deputy President.

Re-elected Councillors Michael White, Doug Barritt and Steve Penny, and new Councillor Sara Robinson, were sworn in by Justice of the Peace Trevor Prout.

With the commencement of a new term, the positions of Shire President and Deputy President were declared vacant by CEO Anthony Middleton.  Cr Michael White was elected unopposed to the position of Shire President, and Cr Doug Barritt was elected unopposed to the position of Deputy President.  Cr White and Cr Barritt were sworn in to these positions by JP Trevor Prout.
