The main focus of the proposed changes are as follows: • Simplifying the purchasing thresholds; • Defining exclusions to the policy, such as postage and freight, to increase compliance; and • Creation of a regional price preference component of the policy in accordance with Local Government (Functions and General) Regulations 1996 regulations 24A to 24G.
